IVF Treatment Cost in Turkey

Infertility is defined as not being able to achieve pregnancy after one year of having regular, unprotected intercourse if the woman is younger than 35 or after six months if the woman is older than 35 years of age.

Preliminary treatments, like Clomiphene citrate medication, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) procedure are less expensive, but can take longer, have lower success rates and may not be an option at all for patients with certain conditions. While pregnancy can be achieved with simple treatments or medications in some cases, in other couples’ certain diagnoses may point to the need for In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment, which has high success rates.

IVF is usually the most effective process for patients who want to have a baby earlier and lead to pregnancy and the birth of a healthy baby. IVF treatment is also a good option for older patients, or those struggling with Diminished Ovarian Reserve (DOR) or low sperm count and motility, conditions that make achieving pregnancy difficult.

One of the first questions asked by couples who are considering fertility treatments is "What is the cost of IVF treatment?"

Costs may vary depending on many factors. Such as the treatment centre, patient characteristics, and the number of treatment cycles.

The main determinants of the treatment cost are the experience of exceptional doctor, a state-of-the-art embryology lab and high success rates. The value you receive – one healthy baby in the shortest time possible, with as little risk to mother and child as possible – will far outweigh the cost.

During the first visit for reproductive fertility work up pelvic ultrasound scan is done to evaluate the uterus, fallopian tubes, and the ovaries. The tests you need are decided after this initial consultation.

The tests listed below might be needed in your fertility work up. You can do these tests in your country. Your recent tests will be considered valid for us. You can send your medical reports by e-mail or WhatsApp. After we examine your documents, we can do a “free remote fertility consultation” by either WhatsApp messages or a video call.

If we do your fertility work up with the tests listed below when you arrive to İstanbul then they will be charged extra and they will not be included in the standard IVF-ICSI package.

The fertility work up tests are

• Fertility related blood tests- hormones, AMH test,
• Some biochemical blood tests such as HbsAg, HCV, HIV, VDRL, blood type,
• Semen analysis – sperm test,
• Hysterosalpingogram (HSG – dye test of tubes),
• Hysteroscopy if needed.

What things will cover IVF-ICSI-ET package?

There are no hidden fees in our costs. The standard IVF-ICSI-ET treatment package includes;

• Management of the treatment cycle which covers all visits by Prof. Dr. Nilgün Turhan and nursing consultations,
• Ovarian stimulation monitorization,
• Ultrasound scans,
• All blood test for monitoring ovarian stimulation if needed,
• On-going supportive consultations,
• General anaesthesia for egg retrieval,
• Egg collection procedure,
• Sperm preparation for ICSI,
• ICSI or IVF process,
• Assisted Hatching,
• Embryo transfer procedure,
• Early pregnancy care support.

The cost for ovarian Stimulation Medications

This covers the cost of a course of treatment for injectable, oral and vaginal route stimulating hormones. The costs will vary depending on the dosage, and the treatment protocols. The cost of drugs that will be used during ovulation induction are not included in our IVF package.
